Sike Style Industries joined City Year Kansas City for their Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service at Middle School on January 21st, 2019. Each MLK Day, We donate our time with City Year to create an inspirational mural inside of a school or community center as a part of City Year's annual large-scale community service project in honor of Dr. King's legacy. The theme of the 2019 year's mural is a quote from President Obama's 2009 HealthCare speech to Congress. Here's a link to the transcript of the speech for contextual reference. The mural was painted in about 8hrs with help from local volunteers and City Year staff and core members. The North East Middle school is in the Kansas City Missouri School District and is located at 4904 Independence Ave, Kansas City, MO 64124.
