The MLK Day of Service tradition continues in 2026 as we partner with City Year KC to create a mural for Primitivo Garcia Elementary School on KC's Westside. This year's inspiration was taken from the school's theme "We Rise". The school's phoenix logo was the perfect starting point to add some patterns, kids, and color to its abstract geometric shape.
The custom mural lives in the cafeteria now and we're happy as always to donate our time and talents in honor of Dr. King's legacy to to bring some joy to students, faculty, and staff at Primitivo Garcia Elementary.
Shout out to everyone who came out to volunteer their time to help enliven the hallways of this school with dozens of small murals.
