"Vamos con Todo" brings together the movement of soccer and the geometry of Mesoamerican art: a male and a female player, each in full command of the ball, advance across a lattice of planes in green, white, and red. Silhouettes repeat the gesture like frames of a single play, while the stepped-fret motifs running through the composition anchor the scene in pre-Hispanic heritage. A hand-painted ball, mounted on the wall in a display ring, breaks the plane of the painting and brings the game into the viewer's space, a vibrant tribute to sport as a shared language between Mexico and Kansas City.
